Episode #018 - - Armish with Iphones

Balsamic-Marinated Sirloin & Asparagus
Approx 1 + Lbs boneless sirloin steak (or whatever steak you want to use)
¼ C balsamic vinegar
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp chopped fresh basil
1 ½ Tsp Dijon-style mustard
1 clove garlic, crushed/minced
½ Tsp sugar
Prep
Combine marinade ingredients. (Double the recipe if you prefer more marinade)
(Pound out the steak if you wish). Place steak and 1/3 C of the marinade in a gallon Ziploc bag. Knead to mix and coat. Refrig. 1-2 hours, or overnight for more flavor.
(Refrig. remaining marinade until ready to use with asparagus). Steam asparagus (leave spears long for ease of grilling) until crisp tender, or desired firmness. In a shallow dish, combine asparagus and remaining marinade. Marinade 1-2 hours, or overnight for more flavor.
Grilling
Grill steak to desired done-ness. During the last few minutes of grilling the steak, place asparagus on grill and cook to desired consistency/char.
